Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 August 2026
This policy explains how we handle your personal information and your credit information, and how you can access it, correct it or complain about how we have handled it. It applies to this website and to everything we do in arranging finance for you.
1. Who this policy covers
| Entity | Details |
|---|---|
| Fenero Pty Ltd | ACN 164 652 724 · ABN 44 164 652 724 Residential and commercial mortgage broking |
| Chiron Pty Ltd | ACN 692 416 827 Business lending and private credit |
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean both entities. Anthony Azar is a Credit Representative (449475) of Connective Credit Services Pty Ltd (ABN 51 143 651 496), Australian Credit Licence 389328.
We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and — where we handle credit information — by Part IIIA of that Act and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code.
2. The information we collect
What we collect depends on what you ask us to do. It generally includes:
- Identity and contact details — name, date of birth, address, email, phone number, and identification documents where verification of identity is required.
- Financial information — income, employment, assets, liabilities, living expenses, bank and credit card statements, tax returns and notices of assessment, and for companies and trusts, financial statements and structure details.
- Credit information — details of credit you have applied for or hold, repayment history where relevant, and information from credit reporting bodies.
- Transaction and security details — property, business or asset details relevant to the finance you are seeking.
- Website information — the details you type into an enquiry form on this site, and the IP address the enquiry was sent from, which we record to prevent abuse of the form.
If you give us information about another person — a co-borrower, guarantor, director or beneficiary — you should only do so with their knowledge, and you should show them this policy.
3. How we collect it
Usually directly from you: in conversation, in a fact find, through documents you send us, or through an enquiry form on this website. We may also collect it from third parties, including your accountant or solicitor where you have asked them to deal with us, your referrer, credit reporting bodies, valuers, and lenders.
4. Why we collect it and how we use it
- To assess what finance you may be eligible for and to give you credit assistance.
- To prepare and submit applications to lenders on your behalf.
- To meet our responsible lending and record-keeping obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth).
- To verify your identity and meet anti-money-laundering obligations where they apply.
- To manage our relationship with you, including reviews of your existing facilities.
- To respond to your enquiry if you contact us through this website.
If you do not give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to arrange finance for you, or a lender may decline your application.
5. Who we disclose it to
We disclose your information only as needed to do what you have asked us to do, or where the law requires it. That may include:
- Lenders and their mortgage insurers, when submitting or supporting an application.
- Connective Credit Services Pty Ltd, as the holder of the Australian Credit Licence under which we act, including through its aggregation and compliance systems.
- Credit reporting bodies, and other credit providers where permitted under Part IIIA.
- Service providers who help us operate — valuers, settlement agents, our accounting and document-signing providers, and the providers who host our systems.
- Your professional advisers, where you have asked us to deal with them.
- Regulators, courts or other authorities, where we are required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it for marketing by anyone else.
6. Overseas disclosure
Our systems are hosted in Australia. Some of the software we use to run our business — for example email and electronic signing — may store or process information on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. How we protect it
We hold information in access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit, on servers located in Australia. Access is limited to the people who need it to do their work, and activity on client and deal records is logged. Documents you send us are stored separately from our general systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
8. How long we keep it
We keep records for at least seven years after our credit assistance to you ends, which is what our record-keeping obligations require. We may keep information longer where a longer period is required by law or where it is needed for a legal claim. When information is no longer needed, we destroy or de-identify it.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Write to us using the details in section 12. We will usually respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request, though we may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of giving access. If we refuse access or a correction, we will tell you why in writing and how you can complain.
10. Complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your information, please tell us first — most issues are resolved quickly once we know about them. Contact us using the details in section 12 and we will acknowledge your complaint and respond in writing.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter externally:

11. This website
The enquiry forms on this site collect the details you type in, and record the IP address they were submitted from so we can prevent abuse of the form. We use that information to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to open your file. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
